Gdánsk s a city on the Baltic coast of northern Poland. With a population of apr. 470 thousand, Gdańsk is the capital and largest city of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and one of the most prominent cities within the cultural and geographical region of Kashubia. It is Poland’s principal seaport and the center of the country’s fourth-largest metropolitan area. Together with the nearby port of Gdynia, Gdańsk is also a notable industrial center.

The city’s history is complex, with periods of Polish, Prussian and German rule, and periods of autonomy or self-rule as a free city-state. In the early modern age, Gdańsk was a royal city in Poland. It was considered the wealthiest and the largest city of Poland, before the 18th-century rapid growth of Warsaw.

I’ve been meaning to go to Gdansk for some time myself so I’m glad I came across this. The photo is so beautiful I’m even more convinced I want to go now! Really handy to have the comparison table available straight away. There seem to be a lot of great options for hostels. I’m surprised towels need to be rented so often though!

Hello there thanks for the review it was really helpful I must say. Indeed Poland is one of the beauty countries in the world with historical and fancy cities such as Gdansk. A friend of mine who went schooling there shared his experiences. Cost of hiring a house there is really high compared to hostel accommodation. Whatever the case maybe I think it a place everyone  should visit.
